NHL Municipal Medical College, Gujarat University in India.\u00a0\u00a0He completed his Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, NY, where he served as Chief Resident in 2003-2004.\u00a0\u00a0Following his residency Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at St. Vincent\u2019s Hospital and Medical Center in New York.\u00a0 After his training he moved to the woodlands in private practice.<\/p>\n<p>He is board certified in Interventional Cardiology,\u00a0Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Internal Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Patel specializes in coronary intervention and peripheral vascular inventions. Dr. Patel recognizes himself as a radialist because of his expertise in trans-radial approach\u00a0for coronary and peripheral interventions. Major benefits of trans-radial approach over traditional femoral artery approach include a significatly lower rate of bleeding complications as well as earlier ambulation and recovery. The most important is \u201call his patients love it\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>His other expertise includes renal artery angioplasty, evaluation and treatment of lower extremity peripheral artery diseases including percutaneous limb salvage interventions and treatment of vascular non-healing foot ulcers.\u00a0He has participated in several large multi-center clinical trials.
